The Bernard Shaw, Friday 8th August - Sunday 10th August

The Bernard Shaw is thrilled to announce the return of The Wine & Cheese Festival, taking place from Friday, August 8th to Sunday, August 10th, 2025. The weekend-long celebration promises a hefty lineup of vendors, food specials, games, workshops, tastings, and live music, all happening in the Bernard Shaw.

What began in 2018 as a cheeky Facebook event by Bodytonic has since blossomed into one of the city's most anticipated food and drink gatherings. From its early days drawing 6,000+ revellers at Eatyard Portobello, to its stint in the more polished Iveagh Gardens, the Wine & Cheese Festival has now found its perfect pairing in The Bernard Shaw’s vibrant, community-driven space.

This year’s edition continues the tradition of making wine and cheese accessible, fun, and far from pretentious. Expect guest vendors offering tastings and products, a curated schedule of talks and panels, and a playful mix of cheese-themed games and food specials – from charcuterie boards to brie burgers and parmesan-loaded fries.
