The Workman's Club, Wednesday 29th March
Onion Boys are the only Rock Band to ever truly be in a Rock Band. Taking vulnerable masculine patheticist bravado to exactly where it’s been before, revolutionising Guitar Music by regurgitating the same thing you’ve already heard.
Rapidly gathering acclaim and notoriety across the country for their infectious, raw sound and raucous live show, Onion Boys gear up for the release of their latest single:
A swaggering punch to the gut, taking aim at decision-paralysed millennials as they try to ‘grow up’ and face their fear of losing relevance in a social media dominated world.
Slated for release on the 29th March to coincide with the Dublin show – accompanied by a music video directed by long-time collaborator Katie Freeney and featuring a cameo from lead singer
Johnny Dublin's own father. The video challenges the notion that there is an age divide between generations, showing that we can all find common ground through music and dance.
Having burst onto the Irish live music scene only last year with a string of standout Irish festival appearances, Onion Boys have already made waves overseas – recently playing sold out shows across Scotland and Germany.
