Draiocht, Wednesday 29th September - Saturday 2nd October

A new immersive dance theatre performance specifically designed for children with mild to moderate needs aged 8-12 years.

Directed by Jess Rowell, Draíocht's Dance Artist in Residence, Making Waves features three performers, an original sound score by Stefan French, set design by Orla Kelly and lighting by Sebastian Pizarro.

Join this magical moving trio on their exciting sea voyage. Ride the ocean waves and feel the breeze. Watch the birds soar and swoop, discover the school of sparkling fish and find out what’s inside the mystical sea treasure chest.

Draíocht will also tour this production offsite locally in Dublin 15.

Jess Rowell’s Dance Residency 2020 and 2021 in Draíocht is supported by The Arts Council, with additional funding provided by Fingal County Council.

Shows are suited to special needs schools as well as for children and their guardian/carer.

‘Open Eye Signals’ by Shane O’Driscoll

This new body of work is the result of Shane O’Driscoll’s recent residency in the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris. Dublin is famous for its writers and its contribution to global literature. This one hour show presents the history of some of its writers, quotes and songs from them. It deals with their lives in Dublin and abroad. The show focuses on James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Brendan Behan, Sean O Casey and many more.
