6Km Coastal Cycle: National Bike Week

As part of National Bike Week and Dublin Climate Action Week 2021, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is holding a fun 6km cycle from Blackrock to Newtownsmith.

Starting in Blackrock Park, the cycle will go through Blackrock Village and continue to Dún Laoghaire along the new scenic Coastal Mobility Route with the cycle ending in Newtownsmith.

All are welcome on this cycle but registration is essential on the Booking Form and all participants must adhere to the COVID-19 event requirements.

Bloomsday celebrates Thursday 16 June 1904, the day depicted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The day is named after Leopold Bloom, the central character in Ulysses. The novel follows the life and thoughts of Leopold Bloom and a host of other characters – real and fictional – from 8am on 16 June 1904 through to the early hours of the following morning.
