Explore the wild plants and flowers of Ireland’s native habitats.
About this event
As well as grand glasshouses and ornamental beds, the National Botanic Gardens also contains corners teeming with the wilder life – the flowers and plants which festoon meadows and hedgerows, providing food and shelter for all sorts of creatures. Meet the Natives, our themed tour for August, takes us on a journey through the wildflowers of late summer, exploring their colours and scents, their names and uses, their variety and beauty, and their value as part of precious natural ecosystems.
