Valeria Luiselli in Conversation with Colm Tóibín

This event has ended

Online, Sunday 30th May

Join 2021 Dublin Literary Award winner Valeria Luiselli in conversation with Irish author and previous Dublin Literary Award winner Colm Tóibín for the closing event of the ILFDublin. Luiselli’s novel Lost Children Archive triumphed over an extraordinarily strong shortlist to win the €100,00 prize money. Interweaving works of literature, music, maps, photographs, and other documents with multiple narrative voices, Luiselli has composed a masterpiece that is at once an exhilarating, lyrical road novel and an unsparing meditation on dislocation, remembering, and storytelling.

The DUBLIN Literary Award is the world’s most valuable annual prize for a single work of fiction published in English and is open to novels written in any language and by authors of any nationality, provided the book has been published in English or English translation. Uniquely, books are nominated by libraries in major cities throughout the world. It is sponsored solely by Dublin City Council, as is ILFDublin.

Join us to raise a glass and to put your questions to the winner at this very special one-off live event!
