Culture Club: The rise and fall of Georgian Dublin

This event has ended

Online, Tuesday 8th June

Culture Club is a series of hosted talks and tours that introduce and encourage people to connect with the cultural spaces of the city.

People are invited to see, experience and learn about Dublin’s cultural places.

The Georgian period was a time of great growth and prosperity for Dublin with the cityscape being completely transformed into the one we recognise today. Join 14 Henrietta Street tour guide Colin Ring for this online talk that charts the rise of Georgian Dublin and its sharp decline to one of the poorest cities in the British Empire.

14 Henrietta Street presents three historical publications which expand on, and uncover the lives of the people who lived at 14 Henrietta Street and the surrounding areas. This talk is part of the programme of events which celebrate the launch of the books.
