Damian and Kevin – accidental cousins and one-time friends – haven’t seen each other for 12 years

Brought together on the eve of a family funeral, their differing aspirations and starkly contrasted backgrounds are brought into sharp focus in this unexpectedly moving drama full of humanity and dark humour

Following on from the success of their joint production of Jacquelyn Reingold’s They Float Up, Bewley’s Café Theatre and The Lock Inn have joined forces again, in the first of a series of plays to be streamed online in 2021 on the lock inn.

Highly acclaimed on its initial run, Hue and Cry toured across Europe and to the US, gaining rave reviews. In 2019, Bewley's Café Theatre with Awake & Sing Productions (From Eden, Northern Lights) revived Deirdre Kinahan’s masterful one-act play in its original venue 12 years after it was first performed, to rave reviews.

This specially commissioned production will be streamed on may 5, 12 and 19 at 7:30pm GMT+1 and will be available on demand until midnight the following day.
