Irish Student Drama Awards Festival 2021

This event has ended

Online, Wednesday 7th April - Saturday 17th April

The Irish Student Drama Awards assembles talent from across Ireland, annually showcasing work from university dramatic societies.
ISDA 2021's host is DU Players, Trinity College Dublin.

The Irish Student Drama Awards, or ISDA, supports the creativity of emerging theatre artists on a national collegiate level. The festival is held every spring, with colleges across Ireland bringing plays from their theatres to a wider stage. It is overseen by a rolling committee, consisting of representatives from each member college. Each year, a different college in the cannon is called upon to host the festival, which has created a solid network of drama societies in Ireland.

ISDA Festival 2021 will be hosted by Trinity College Dublin’s Players society and will be held entirely online, to ensure the safety of its participants and spectators regardless of government restrictions.

Along with the shows and the awards, the festival will include online events, panels and talks, and a new online space to display creative work from students across Ireland, whether they belong to the core six colleges or not.

The DU Players ISDA committee is comprised of individuals dedicated to fostering creativity throughout the country by giving college students a platform to premiere their work. This year, they hope to showcase how theatre can innovate and remain engaging in the face of the current pandemic.

All 16 shows at this year's festival will be streamed online, and tickets are totally FREE!
