DLR Concert of Light 2020

This event has ended

Online, Monday 21st December

Take a well-deserved break from all the Christmas preparations, and join us online on the evening of Monday 21 December to celebrate the Winter Solstice with a free concert of stunning music and songs of joy, hope and light. The Winter Solstice falls on the shortest day of the year and is considered a turning point by many, a time of reflection but also of looking ahead. We wish to invite all residents of DLR, whether at home or abroad, to light a candle during this time to remember those we have lost in 2020, and to look ahead with hope to 2021.

Our musical ensemble will be led by cellist Gerald Peregrine, who has established a career as a soloist, chamber and orchestral performer in Ireland and across Europe. The programme will be 50 mins duration and will include popular, classical and festive favourites.

This free concert will be streamed at 8pm on Monday 21 December on the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council YouTube Channel:
