The Ark: Under Water Moves

The Ark: Underwater Moves – Online Early Years Dance Workshop for children aged 2-4 and their grown-ups.

Join dance artist Monica Muñoz for a delightful underwater movement adventure in this online dance workshop. Come with us on an imaginary journey under the sea. We will practice all our swimming moves and then dive deep beneath the big blue waves. There we will meet lots of incredible sea creatures. Look out for a wobbly octopus, snappy sharks, speedy clown-fish and scuttling crabs. How do they move around in the water? Can we try that too? We will create our very own dancing waves in our homes and maybe even practice some surf moves too! In this workshop, we will use some everyday household objects to help us with our dance moves. This will help activate imaginations as little ones explore, discover and dance with the help of their grown-ups. You will need:

  1. A sheet or blanket (if you have a blue one that is great, but any colour will do)
  2. A pillow or cushion
  3. A few soft or small toys (any favourite cuddly animal will do, but if you have some that really like the water such as fish, seals, penguins, dolphins, seagulls or even octopus then bring those ones along).

This delightful interactive dance workshop invites little ones and their grown-ups to enjoy imagining and moving together. So if you're a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, godparent or carer, join us with a 2-4 year old to explore moving underwater from your very own home.
