The Big Scream Festival is an annual multi-day event held in Dublin’s North East Inner City, running from the 22nd to 31st October. The Big Scream is an initiative which aims to foster community engagement through fun activities and workshops for all ages from pre-schoolers to senior citizens; pets included!

This year’s events include Hansel & Gretel the Opera in Sean McDermott Street Church, Scary Synchronised Swimming at Sean Mac Pool, MaSamba Drumming, Grave Robbers Talks and Spooky walks, a film screening at the Savoy (with a red carpet!), Doggy Dress Up Parade in Diamond Park, a Haunted Hall of Horrors with Art Exhibition, Winnie the Witchathon, Ukrainian Soul Choir performance, Funfair and more! There are dozens of spook-tacular celebrations to partake in throughout the run up to and during the Halloween season.

While all events are free, some require a pre-registration of your attendance via the link on our website.

The Big Scream Festival reaches a Finale on 31st October with a big Halloween celebration in Diamond Park, Sean McDermott Street, Royal Canal Greenway and Commons Street.
