The Hibernian Orchestra, under the baton of John Finucane, presents an evening of romantic classics.

Billy O’Brien, winner of The Hibernian Orchestra’s annual concerto competition will perform Chopin's beloved Piano Concerto No 2, between Verdi’s Overture to La forza del destino and Dvořák's timeless Symphony No 9 “From the New World”.

Dublin International Piano Competition

The 13th edition of the Dublin International Piano Competition will take place in Dublin from 9 May to 16 May 2025 The Competition will be in four rounds. The First Round was held online during February 2025. The Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals will be held in the Whyte Recital Hall, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, from 9 to 14 May 2025. The Final will consist of concerto performances with Ireland’s National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jonas Alber and will be held in the National Concert Hall, Dublin on Friday 16 May 2025.
