This event has ended

Merrion Square Park, Monday 20th May

From the writer who swept millions off their feet with One Day, a new love story for the ages emerges full of hope, redemption, and second chances.

His award-winning novels have sold millions of copies around the world, been adapted for film and television, and translated into over 40 languages. His work as a screenwriter has earned him multiple BAFTA nominations – including a 2019 win for Best Writer. Now, fresh off a new Netflix adaptation, this one-in-a-generation talent returns with another unputdownable love story.

In an unmissable evening of conversation, David will discuss what inspires him, writing for the page and the screen, and his newest novel. You Are Here is a hilarious and hopeful tale of two lonely souls embarking on an unexpected journey where they learn that sometimes, you have to get lost in order to find your way.

David Nicholls is the bestselling author of Starter for Ten; The Understudy; One Day; Us; Sweet Sorrow; and You Are Here. He is also a screenwriter who has written adaptations of Far from the Madding Crowd, When Did You Last See Your Father? and Great Expectations, as well as his own novels, Starter for Ten, One Day, and Us. His adaptation of Edward St Aubyn’s Patrick Melrose, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, was nominated for an Emmy and won him a BAFTA for best writer.

Marian Keyes is the multi-million copy, internationally bestselling author of some of the most widely loved, genre-defying novels of the past thirty years – such as Rachel’s Holiday, Anybody Out There and Grown Ups.
