Walker Tex & Wilson Lyons

Little Whelan's, Monday 17th August

Walker Tex & Wilson Lyons are an alternative country duo blending cinematic storytelling, outlaw-country grit, and atmospheric Americana. Formed from a lifelong friendship that began in Northern Ireland, the pair share a passion for songs that capture vivid characters, open landscapes, and hard-earned truths.

With Walker’s distinctive vocals and Wilson’s expressive guitar work, their music bridges the gap between classic country tradition and a more contemporary, widescreen sound. Drawing inspiration from the golden age of outlaw country while embracing modern influences, they craft songs that feel both timeless and fresh.

Their music has received radio airplay across Ireland and the United States, steadily building an audience on both sides of the Atlantic. Recent collaborations include work with viral pedal steel sensation Pedal Steel Noah, alongside artists such as Copper Kelly and Kenan Flannery.

Whether performing intimate acoustic sets or delivering full-bodied live shows, Walker Tex & Wilson Lyons bring an authentic, cinematic take on alternative country that leaves a lasting impression.
