The Jesus Lizard

Button Factory, Wednesday 15th January - Thursday 16th January

Since their inception in Chicago ca. 1987, the Jesus Lizard has thrilled audiences all over the planet with their idiosyncratic “noise rock.” Catch them live at The Button Factory with a second date added on Thursday 16 January 2025.

Rack, the seventh studio album from this legendary underground-rock fulcrum, comes out into the world on September 13 via Ipecac Recordings. Produced by Paul Allen at Audio Eagle, Rack holds 11 tracks of brisk guitar rock you haven’t heard since… the last time the Jesus Lizard took over a stage in your town. Now, over two decades since their last record together, the Jesus Lizard—vocalist David Yow, guitarist Duane Denison, bassist David Wm. Sims and drummer Mac McNeilly—have returned with a record teeming with the kind of madness needed to beat down today’s AOR mediocrity and piss-perfect pop drivel alike.

The Guinness Choir – The City Of Our Dreaming Concert

St Patrick's Cathedral

The Guinness Choir is thrilled to announce our upcoming 75th Anniversary Concert, “The City of Our Dreaming'. Wanting to celebrate this great city, our Liberties’ origins, and our musical tradition, we commissioned a contemporary choral cantata. The text for 'The City of Our Dreaming' is an original poem by Paula Meehan, commissioned by the choir and composed for choir by Seán Doherty: a remarkable poem distilled into a warm, sensitive, and exciting choral experience. The concert, on Thursday, 7th May, in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, will be the world premiere of this unique composition
