The Dublin Story Slam

This event has ended

Civic Theatre, Wednesday 8th July

Returning to The Civic this Summer! The Dublin Story Slam is an open mic competitive storytelling night where members of the audience are invited to join us onstage to share a true personal story inspired by the theme, Community.

Tell us about a time you stood out from the crowd before being welcomed into the fold. From growing up in a tight knit neighbourhood, to searching for a new one far from home, to perhaps even creating your own circle of friends online. From sport fans to music scenes, class mates to new jobs, community gardens to community halls, tell us a story about the people who make you feel like you belong and helped make you strong.

Sign up to tell a story on the night at our sign up table. Judges in the audience will then decide on a Story Slam Champion who will be invited to share a brand new story at The Dublin Story Grand Slam at The Abbey Theatre later this year.

Hosted by Colm O’Regan, this is a laugh out loud night full of heartwarming and genuine tales told by ordinary Dubliners with a story to share!
