Stand-Up For Gaza

This event has ended

Vicar Street, Saturday 20th September

Line-Up: Aisling Bea, Rosie O’Donnell, Neil Delamere, Kyla Cobbler, Mike Rice, Peter McGann, Fiona Frawley & Duane Doogan

After three hugely successful events which raised over €63,000 for The Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, Cherry Comedy are excited announce a fourth Stand-Up for Gaza Gig, taking place at Dublin’s iconic Vicar Street.

An exciting selection of Ireland’s biggest comedy names will come together for this special evening, including Aisling Bea, Rosie O'Donnell, Neil Delamere Kyla Cobbler, Mike Rice and Peter McGann.

100% of ticket sales and funds raised on the night will go directly to The Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund. The PCRF support the only paediatric oncology/children’s cancer treatment ward in Gaza, and provide free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children in Palestine.

This gig was made possible by Irish Artists for Palestine, a coalition of artists fundraising to meet the urgent medical and humanitarian needs in Gaza. Alongside the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, Irish Artists for Palestine raise funds through events for Medical Aid Palestine, who have worked for decades providing community healthcare in the region, and the Palestinian Red Crescent’s ambulance crews, who continue to respond to emergency situations despite the targeting & killing of Palestinian paramedics.

This is Cherry Comedy’s fourth effort to raise vital funds for those on the ground in Gaza. It feels unreal that almost two years in, such horrific atrocities continue to be inflicted upon the Palestinian people but sadly fundraising, awareness and public outcry is still needed.

We’re angry, we’re heartbroken, but hopefully this is one way we can take meaningful action. This evening is not intended just as a fundraiser, but as a show of solidarity with Palestine. We encourage you to pressure your government representatives to enact the Occupied Territories Bill, to get out and protest, and to demand a permanent ceasefire.
