The Red Stables, Saturday 21st September

Stable Ground: The Red Stables Festival – A festival connecting food, nature and sustainability through a series of talks, demos and tours, and a celebration of local food and producers in the surroundings of St Anne's Park (…finished off with a party!).

Talks: Free, but limited places. First come, first served.
9.30am – 10.30am: Spark Joy in Your Pantry – Food Waste & Food Management.
2.30pm – 3.30pm: What Gives? – Getting our Heads Around Food Sustainability.
5.00pm – 6.00pm – No Such Thing as a Green Lunch?

Cooking with Rachel Allen: Tickets €20.
TV chef, cook and author Rachel Allen prepare delicious meals using local produce while chatting about food, nature and sustainability.
10.45am – 11.45am – Starters
12.15pm – 1.15pm – Mains
3.45pm – 4.45pm – Afters

Allotments and Dublin City Farm Tour: Free, but limited places. First come, first served.
1.30pm – 2.30pm: Take a whistle-stop tour of the St Anne's allotments at harvest time with Brendan Doyle and learn about the amazing eco-education project that is Dublin City Farm.

Visual Arts:
Instinct – An exhibition of works focused on nature and on the human form artists Miriam Dowling, Jin Yong, Eibhlin Crossan and Miriam Smithers.

The Stalls:
Bees and Honey! – Chat with Zheng Xie (Jen) about keeping bees in the burbs.
1.30pm – 2.00pm: Make Your Own Beeswax Wraps with the Minimal Waste Grocery.
2.00pm – 2.15pm: Children – Free, but limited places. First come, first served.

Harvest Art: In the Stalls with Miriam Dowling of the Art Nest.
10.30am – 12.00pm: Drop-in.

Owls:
Outdoor wildlife learning and survival, an event for all the family to enjoy. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the fairy tree sharp! Dress for the weather and for an active forest walk!

Facepainting:
12.00pm – 4.00pm: With Rosie from Roar. Under the clock in The Red Stables.

3.45pm – 4.45pm: Take a guided tour of St Anne's Estate with Gerard O'Rourke.

3.00pm: Dr Seuss' The Lorax.
6.00pm: Thank You for the Rain – A Kenyan farmer battles climate change.

Nighthawks at The Red Stables: Tickets €40. Enjoy a line up of talented Irish artists & a feast to #tastetheisland.
Entertainment by Nighthawks and a feasting menu celebrating the very best of Irish food by Olive's Room chef proprietor, Liam Moloughney. Featuring comedian Kevin Gildea, spoken word poet John Cummins, Dutch singer-songwriter Jane Willow, musicians Pearse McGloughlin & Nocturnes, and Wexford band Corner-Boy.
