Due to the circumstances of Covid-19 Silk Road International Film Festival has made the decision to present the 2021 festival edition online.

SRIFF continues its mission to bring audiences and film creatives together to celebrate cinema. We are developing a secure and easy-to-use online experience so that the 9th Silk Road International Film Festival 2021 remains an unmissable event in the national & international film calendar.

The Silk Road International Film Festival programme will continue to be a diverse mix of features, documentaries, animations, shorts and music videos.

Past guests have included world renowned filmmakers such as Director Abel Ferrara (King of New York, Bad Lieutenant, Pasolini, Welcome to New York), Director Béla Tarr (The Turin Horse, Satantango), Cinematographer Vittorio Storaro (Reds, The Last Emperor, Apocalypse Now) and Cinematographer Mahmoud Kalari (A Separation), Editor Tony Kearns (Black Mirror, The End of the F***ing World), Cinematographer PJ Dillon (Vikings, Game of Thrones).

Each year, over 100,000 people take part in the Dublin Pride Parade: it is the biggest celebration of diversity and inclusion on the island of Ireland.
