Set in 1950’s New York, Stage Musical ‘Most Peculiar Dreams’ centres around Irish American Family the Donnelly’s. Their son Shawn Donnelly Junior decides to miss his high school graduation ceremony in favour of leaving home to seek his fame and fortune. The show examines how chance encounters and small interventions, can influence a person’s fate and how utterly strange and unlikely our existence is. Book, songs and lyrics by Fergus Foran, the show tells a heart-warming story reflecting on love, family, friendships and how we triumph over loss.

Most Peculiar Dreams is an original Irish Musical by Fergus Foran. Set in 1950’s New York, the show examines how chance encounters and small interventions, can influence a person’s fate. It tells a heart-warming story reflecting on love, family, friendships and how we triumph over loss. The show is centred around Irish American high school graduate Shawn Donnelly Junior as he pursues a career in the New York club scene. Will he find fame and fortune or maybe even true love? Or will he find all that glitters is not gold?

Once there was a boy who was always looking up. He dreamt of having a star as a friend. This is the story of his adventure. Based on the beloved book by award-winning Irish author Oliver Jeffers, Branar are proud to present How to Catch a Star. This adaptation combines puppetry by Neasa Ní Chuanaigh & Cillian O Donnachadha with stunning puppets by Suse Reibisch. With a magical original score by Colm Mac Con Iomaire and directed by Marc Mac Lochlainn. Branar’s signature storytelling creates a show which reminds us all to follow our dreams. This is a non-verbal show.
