The Dublin Painting and Sketching Club - 148th Annual Exhibition - is open to the public from Monday 14th until Sunday 27th September, in the Town Hall space of the Windmill Quarter. The exhibition includes painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed-media work by established and emerging artists from across Ireland. The Club was formed in October 1874, its aims were 'to bring together artists, amateurs and others interested in art and the holding of public exhibitions.' Positive Ageing Week (PAW) was established by Age Action in 2004 to celebrate the positive aspects of ageing and challenge stereotypes about growing older. It takes place each year around 1 October, the United Nations International Day of Older Persons.
