Inescapable Darkness: A Serial Killers Exhibition

Artane Place, Thursday 4th December - Saturday 28th February

Fever, the leading global live entertainment discovery platform, are debuting a groundbreaking experience in Dublin in late November. Unlike anything audiences have seen before, Inescapable Darkness: A Serial Killers Exhibition takes them on a gripping psychological journey into the darkest corners of the human mind—from Locusta during Ancient Rome to killers like Jeffrey Dahmer who have haunted the 20th century.

This global premiere invites visitors to step inside a 90-minute, 20-stop journey that showcases the history, psychology, and cultural impact of serial killers. With iessts own dark chapters, including figures such as Kieran Patrick Kelly, Dublin is the first stop before the exhibition makes its way to the rest of the world.

The experience begins by exploring the Investigation Office, where guests follow the behind-the-scenes of criminal profiling, the investigative processes, and the human element that is crucial in solving complex serial killer cases. They will discover personality patterns and motivational categories of 20 of history's most notorious criminals, including John Wayne Gacy (“The Killer Clown”), Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. Stops at dedicated rooms with profile boards, crime scene recreations and artifact replicas will allow for a deeper dive into their minds.

Fans of pop culture have an entire gallery to explore how popular books, plays, films, and television shows have long borrowed from the real darkness of human behavior. It gives guests the chance to see the blurred line between fact and fiction, where the media have transformed criminals into cautionary tales and unforgettable villains.

Inescapable Darkness: A Serial Killers Exhibition includes an exclusive virtual reality (VR) experience, where the use of cutting-edge technology allows visitors to be placed directly in the role of an investigator. From the field office, surrounded by case files and colleagues, to being face-to-face with the killer, they will interact with haunting environments. Anyone who accepts the challenge will walk the thin line between horror and determination, mirroring the challenges investigators face every day in their pursuit of justice.
