‘Bike Week’ is a celebration and promotion of the benefits of cycling and takes place from Saturday 9th to Sunday 17th May. Cycling is one of the most sustainable forms of travel and a family friendly activity. As a transport option cycling has one of the lowest impacts on the planet and the environment, impacting positively on air and noise pollution. There’s never been a better time to get on a bike! The purpose of Bike Week to encourage new, occasional, and seasoned cyclists to make cycling part of their lifestyle. Bike Week 2026 will run from Saturday 9th – Sunday 17th May

Start the day the right way watching the sun rise over Dublin Bay on this relaxed 10km cycle. Join us at the Sails Statue on the corner of Alfie Byrne Road and Clontarf Road to start the day the right way with a sunrise cycle in the beautiful Dublin Bay. Enjoy a leisurely 10km morning cycle in Clontarf watching the sunrise. This cycle is open to all levels of cyclists and will all be on a protected bike lane. History will be made on May 17th 2026 when Ireland welcome Scotland to Aviva Stadium in what will be the first standalone Guinness Women’s Six Nations fixture staged at the Dublin venue.
