National Services Day

Dublin Castle, Saturday 6th September

Come along to see the Dublin National Services Day parade on Saturday 6th September 2025, starting from the Garden of Remembrance before making its way through the City, down O’Connell Street, Trinity College, Dame Street and finishing up at Dublin Castle.

  • 22 state and voluntary frontline emergency and security services organisations shall parade O'Connell Street to Dublin Castle stepping off at 1200hrs.
  • Dublin Castle upper and lower yards shall host static displays from all Ireland's services and an opportunity for people to talk first hand with services staff and volunteers.
  • Musical entertainment from the services bands and Sea of Change Cancer Choir on the Printworks Steps from 1300.

National Services Day is organised each year by an entirely volunteer-led board, committee and regional representatives, who have been working hard to provide the public with opportunities to help foster better relationships to show the services appreciation for the support of the public and thank them for their continuing support.

At some point in their life every Irish person has been helped by frontline, emergency and security service staff. The National Services Day has created a much-needed focal point for the frontline, emergency and security services to acknowledge their appreciation to the public.
