The Dublin Independent Film Festival 2023 takes place on November 11 at the Light House Cinema with 2 screening slots featuring 13 International Shorts and Irish Shorts by upcoming and established filmmakers Entrance is Free!

The first section of this year's edition is dedicated to International Shorts of the independent cinema. From awarded shorts such as “A Short Trip”, which won the Best Short Film Award of the Orizzonti Competition in Venice (2023) to music videos such as Sparks' “The Girl is Crying in Her Latte”, starring Cate Blanchett, this programme spans a wide range of themes and aesthetics.

“Irish Shorts” highlights independent gems shot and produced in Ireland. The muli-awarded “Lamb” (Tribeca Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh, Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival (first prize – best screenplay), “The People of the Plaza” (Dublin International Film Festival 2023) are among the screening films.
