St Patrick's Cathedral, Friday 15th April
In response to the Irish Red Cross’ Ukraine Appeal, the Cathedral Choir will be performing a special Good Friday concert in the Cathedral with Opera singer, Professor and Doctor of philosophy, People’s Artist of Ukraine, Olga Chubareva (Lady Opera), organist David Leigh, bass Jeffrey Ledwidge and directed by Stuart Nicholson.
The choir will be performing one of the best loved choral works of all time, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré alongside works by 2 other Parisian composers Maurice Duruflé and Louis Vierne.
The Cathedral Choir is joined by Ukranian soprano Olga Chubareva who will be performing a Prayer for Ukraine, Myroslav Skoryk’s Melody and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem Pie Jesu.
