Dublin Horse Show

This event has ended

RDS, Wednesday 6th August - Sunday 10th August

Since it was first held in 1864 the Horse Show has become a Dublin institution. A celebration of Ireland's affinity with the horse, from the best show horses to the best international show jumpers.

It is one of Ireland's largest events, a highlight of the summer, each year welcoming tens of thousands of people from Ireland and all over the world.

Filled with great fun, good food, fancy drinks, and a little dressing up, the Nations Cup Dublin Horse Show is an amazing experience and one of the best days out of the summer. And we haven’t even mentioned horses! But throughout the five days the extensive RDS grounds will be taken over by some of the best horses from around Ireland and the world. It is, after all, considered one of the top global equestrian events and all in the heart of Dublin city.

The Show remains one of the best social occasions of the summer. With bars, restaurants and eateries scattered throughout the grounds it is a great place to meet up and enjoy the craic of this unique event.

What’s in a name? Best Dressed Day (formerly Ladies’ Day) at the RDS, for instance, conjures up stylish dresses, eye-catching hats and chic outfits for both men and women, it is all those things and much more. Including brilliant fun!

The fun isn’t just restricted to adults, there is a designated area for children with pony rides, interactive entertainment and face-painting. Around the site you will be captivated by a mix of characters including circus performers and musicians.

Over 168 national & international equestrian competitions will take place during the 149th Show, including Friday’s famous Nations Cup for the Aga Khan Trophy. Regarded as one of the most prestigious annual show jumping competitions in the world, the competition for the Aga Khan Trophy attracts some of the best international horse and rider combinations from around the globe.

Since 1864 the Show has been creating summer memories; 2025 will be no exception. Make some of your own at this unique summer event, Wednesday, August 6th to Sunday, August 10th.
