Cyber Safety Course for Children – Can you help Eoin and Emma live better lives online? 4 week cyber safety course to suit children 3rd-6th class. Led by Cyber Safe Ireland.

Expert trainers will cover the following objectives:

  • Week 1: Protect yourself online – Know what personal information is and how to keep it safe.
  • Week 2: Know how to have a safe profile and understand the dangers of online contact with strangers.
  • Week 3: Understand a positive digital footprint and learn what cyber-bullying is.
  • Week 4: Understand misinformation – where it occurs and how to fact check and question content.

Each session will last approximately 25 minutes. Children must be able to attend all 4 sessions:
Mon June 22nd 12.30pm.
Tue June 23rd 12.30pm.
Wed June 24th 12.30pm.
Thu June 25th 12.30pm.

As this is an interactive class, participants must have access to a laptop or mobile phone with a camera and microphone and be able to host the zoom software on their device. All participants must also have a valid email address to receive the invite code for the class. This email will be shared with a class facilitator from project sums (outside facilitator) for this session only and will not be held on file by Tallaght Library. As this is an event for children a parent must be present with children participating.
