Culture Night Dublin 2023 – One Night For All | Oíche Dár Saol

The eighteenth edition of Culture Night Dublin will take place on Friday, 22 September 2023. The programme of events features an exciting programme of cultural discovery across Dublin, with the usual myriad of fantastic events and activities.

On Culture Night, Dublin’s many cultural venues open their doors late into the evening, with unique events specifically programmed in open spaces throughout the city. All events are free to attend and the full programme is available here.

This Culture Night, explore the exhibitions, café and gardens of MoLI, the Museum of Literature Ireland! Step behind the curtain and into the restless, illusory world of Claire-Louise Bennett’s Nightflowers, or witness The Holy Hour: A Requiem for Brendan Behan, created by writer Patrick McCabe.

Meeting House Square: Strawberries

Inner City Celebration at Spencer Dock

‘Pucara Bull, Ambassador of the Peruvian Andes’ Exhibition

The Pucará Bull is a cultural and ancestral expression of the Puno region, as well as one of the most popular art pieces in Peruvian craftwork, and the product of our diverse culture. According to the Andean worldview, the Pucará bull figure is seen as a symbol of strength, peace, abundance, and prosperity, as well as a symbol of the identity of southern Peru.

Screening: ‘Variations’

The Embassy of Portugal invites you to participate in a celebration of Portuguese culture through the screening of the film ‘Variations’, followed by an informal social gathering. ‘Variations’ depicts the life of famous Portuguese pop and folk singer, António Variações, his artistic journey throughout the 1980s and the battle against prejudice that he faced.

Exhibition: The Slovenian Constitution in a Comic Strip

The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia is delighted to present this exhibition of a selection of articles from the comic strip presenting the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia. The illustrator Zoran Smiljanić brought the content of the Constitution closer to different readers with comic book language and designed it in an interesting, educational, and entertaining way, in which the main characters, Maja and Miha, walk among the most important articles of the Constitution and thus learn about democracy and active citizenship.
