Ireland Summer Games

Ireland’s largest inclusive sporting event takes place 18–21st June. Over 1,200 athletes compete across 12 sports over four action-packed days!

Kicking off on Thursday 18th June, join us at Tallaght Stadium for the Ireland Summer Games Opening Ceremony — a celebration of our athletes! Featuring the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s Torch of Hope, this event will ignite 3 unforgettable days of excitement, inclusion, and competition.

From Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of June over 1200 Athletes from every corner of the island will compete at an all-island level in 12 sports, across 10 venues!
You can also enjoy inspiring showcases from our Young Athletes and MATP Programmes. The on-site health screening event from our health programme will ensure every athlete has the resources to stay healthy!

Our final Closing & Awards Ceremony on Sunday 21st will celebrate the amazing skill, and talent of our athletes who gave their all to compete at the Ireland Summer Games 2026

The event is part of the ongoing fundraising campaign to build a future for Conor (Age 10) & Dean (age 9) - two young Lucan brothers who were diagnosed in recent years with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a rare, muscle wasting, degenerative condition that has no cure. Dublin City Council Dublin City Half Marathon

Starts on O'Connell Street

Dublin City Council has been announced as the title sponsor of the Dublin City Half Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, 3rd May 2026. The race date has moved from March to the May Bank Holiday weekend, a change designed to better balance the needs of runners, and the wider city community. The ‘Dublin City Council Dublin City Half Marathon’ is organised by Dublin Marathon Group and will start at 8:30 am in the heart of Dublin City on O’Connell Street.
