Experience Dublin's nightlife in a whole new way with this year's Dublin Book Festival After Dark event series. As evening falls, venues across the city will come alive with readings, performances and conversations that celebrate prose, poetry and music.
Bartley's Lounge at The Grafton Hotel becomes a hub for cultural events over three evenings, hosting the DBF Festival Club across three nights:
Thursday 6 November – Discover debut novels at Emerging Voices, immerse yourself in Keith Donald's one-man show NewBliss, and end the night with DJ sets.
Friday 7 November – Explore three powerful short-story collections with Short Stories in Focus. Then delve into stories and writing inspired by music, art and film at Echoes on the Page.
Saturday 8 November – Experience IMRAM's showcase of poetry and music, followed by a late-night discussion at Modern Fables, Ancient Ghosts.
Beyond the Festival Club, events unfold across the city. The New Theatre in Temple Bar presents two evenings of poetry, including Poetry and the Duty of Care and the Poetry Ireland Introductions | Céadlínte showcases. On Friday, The Gutter Bookshop hosts a special book launch for morsels from Susanna Galbraith, while MoLI's First Fridays feature debut novels at Shadows of Our Past.
