Forensic Science Ireland is proud to host the European Academy of Forensic Science (EAFS 2025) in Dublin the same year that our organisation celebrates the 50th Anniversary of its foundation.

EAFS is the biggest European forensic science event and occurs once every 3 years. It brings together over 1200 forensic science practitioners, stakeholders and partners from across the forensic science global community to showcase the depth and breadth of developments in forensic science.

FSI will also host the Annual Meeting of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) – consisting of the Directors of all major forensic institutes across Europe. It is a privilege for FSI to host these events in Dublin in May 2025.

Concurrently, FSI have organised a public event to examine the impact of forensics in the Criminal Justice system in the last 50 years. This event will be hosted by Nicola Tallant.

Nicola Tallant is an award winning journalist, author and podcaster. She specialises in organised crime and regularly appears on TV and radio. She is Executive Producer of a number of documentaries as well as the award winning Podcast; The Witness in His Own Words based on her best-selling book The Witness. She hosts her own weekly show; Nicola Tallant’s Crime World. She lives in Dublin.
