Irish bilingual singer-songwriter Padraig Jack was born and raised in the Aran islands Gaeltacht which influences his Celtic, Folk, Contemporary music. His RTE Folk Awards nominated hit single about the islands, ‘Making Sand’, helped establish Padraig as one of Ireland’s finest contemporary songwriters with plaudits from Hot Press magazine and Mike Scott (The Waterboys), on it’s release, ‘Making Sand’ spent four weeks at Number 1 on the RTE Radio 1 Airplay Chart.
2024 saw Padraig release his second album ‘These Shores’ and perform to a 4000-strong hometown crowd at the Galway International Arts Festival Big Top as special guest to The Saw Doctors. Padraig started 2025 with sold-out shows at Dublin TradFest and Kilkenny TradFest and he also made his debut at La Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Folk Alliance in Montreal and the St Patrick’s Day Festival in Dublin.
