These unique, daily tours provide visitors with an opportunity to delve into the world of Irish traditional music, song and dance. During your visit, you’ll learn about the extensive collections that document the rich history of Irish traditional arts.

Experience Live Performances
Experience live music as talented musicians perform traditional Irish tunes, bringing the archive’s extensive collections to life. You’ll hear and learn about instruments such as the fiddle, uilleann pipes, and harp along with some traditional dancing.

Learn to sing a song ‘as Gaeilge’
Practice your ‘cupla focal’ by learning to sing a traditional song ‘as Gaeilge’ (in Irish). Under the guidance of Sorcha Ní Scolaí, an accomplished singer and uilleann piper from Dublin, you’ll learn the melody and lyrics to a traditional Irish song.

This interactive session connects visitors to the music and song heritage of Ireland, while developing your Irish language skills.

No matter your level of musical knowledge, Irish Music Tours of ITMA offer a comprehensive overview of Ireland’s vibrant musical heritage.
