The Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) is hosting a FREE exhibition showcasing the best buildings Europe has to offer. The EUmies Award exhibition is running from 16 January to 14 February 2024 at the Printworks, Dublin Castle.
The EUmies Award is the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture and the highest honour a building can receive! This is a rare opportunity for people to view Europe’s best buildings in Dublin and is a MUST-SEE for architectural enthusiasts and those interested in the Arts and Culture sector.
The exhibition will include models, texts, videos, sketches and drawings of the 40 shortlisted works – among them the first-ever Irish winner and the 13 Irish nominees for the 2024 award. Dublin-based Grafton Architects won the 2022 award for Town House at Kingston University in London. The exhibition features great examples of the best of European architecture, including innovative solutions in housing, workplaces, and urban regeneration. It shows that cities and countries across Europe are experiencing similar challenges, and some great solutions exists for these.
