The first headline artist to be announced for 2023 is First Aid Kit – the renowned Swedish folk duo will open the WTP series on Monday 21 August 2023, along with very special guest Nick Mulvey.

Sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg of First Aid Kit bring a familial creative harmony to their music, weaving together elegant folk, breezy Americana, and contemplative pop. The Swedish duo, nominated twice for the BRIT Awards, captivate audiences worldwide with their artful songwriting and ambitious melodies.

Collaborating with a range of artists, including Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, George Ezra, and Zara Larsson, the duo has also contributed to numerous film and television soundtracks, such as The Umbrella Academy.

First Aid Kit's fifth album, ‘Palomino', released in Nov 2022, showcases the duo's ability to soar to new heights with vibrant and essential pop hooks while maintaining their signature intuition and emotional depth. The pair filmed the video for lead single “Out of My Head” in and around Dublin in July of last year and are so excited to return to Ireland to perform.
