Panel discussion on the early medieval cult of St Brigit and what Brigit tells us about women in early medieval Ireland. Was she a role model or an unattainable ideal? The panel will also look at the Sanas Cormaic three Brigits including Brigit the Pagan Goddess and what Brigit's folk narratives tell us about contemporary Irish society.
