Who are the women who have made significant contributions to science, technology, engineering and mathematics over the last century? And why did it take so long for their roles to be acknowledged? Following a presentation on women who made an inspiring yet unacknowledged contribution to STEM over the last century, Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Gilliland hosts a panel discussion on their ongoing impact, the experiences of women working in STEM today, and how the female lens impacts on STEM innovation. Guests include Prof Linda Doyle, Provost of Trinity College, Dublin and founder of SFI Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications, CONNECT; journalist Clodagh Finn, author of Through Her Eyes: A History of Ireland in 21 Women; Aishling Lennon,Dublin City Council, and Dr. Ruoyi Zhou, Head of the IBM Research Lab for Europe.
