Gemma Dunleavy has announced her debut headliner at 3Olympia Theatre on Friday 1st April 2022

Songwriter and producer Gemma Dunleavy may have captured your attention through her previous collaborations with Murlo and Swing Ting but now the North Inner City Dubliner has been busy making a name for herself with her stunning debut EP ‘UP DE FLATS’. This project celebrates her community of Sheriff St, a strong running theme throughout her work. The EP explores the trials and tribulations of working class life through the perspectives of 6 different characters inspired by those she's grown up around.

Taking influence from traditional storytelling, Dunleavy has developed her sound by experimenting with instruments connected to that of her heritage, like the harp and flute and amalgamated this with her love for pop and club music.

The 13th edition of the Dublin International Piano Competition will take place in Dublin from 9 May to 16 May 2025 The Competition will be in four rounds. The First Round was held online during February 2025. The Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals will be held in the Whyte Recital Hall, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, from 9 to 14 May 2025. The Final will consist of concerto performances with Ireland’s National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jonas Alber and will be held in the National Concert Hall, Dublin on Friday 16 May 2025.
