RIAM Virtual Chamber Music Summer Project – An immersive one-week project for string, wind, and brass players age 13-18.

A wonderful opportunity for instrumental players to spend a week working on socially distanced chamber music projects with their fellow musicians in trios, quartets, and quintets. This one-week intensive course will give young musicians the opportunity to work collaboratively on a layered recording project, receive coaching to develop their individual and ensemble playing skills, and get to the heart of what it means to play as an ensemble.

Led by violist, Royal Irish Academy of Music faculty member and member of the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Robin Panter. Robin is a regular guest violist in orchestras and ensembles throughout Ireland and the UK including the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra. This one-week intensive is aimed at players of approximately Grade V standard and above, between the ages of 13-18 years old. Groups and repertoire will be assigned by level and instrument type in advance.

Webinar sessions will be delivered via Zoom, and participants will need access to a device (phone, tablet, camera) to record video and audio of their part for the project.
