Love D8 Community Fair returns to The Liberties at the end of February. The venue for this year’s community showcase is St Catherine’s Church on Thomas Street, with events running from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 29th February.

Partnering Dublin City Council, St Patrick’s Cathedral and The Liberties Dublin, and featuring over 100 community groups, clubs, schools, businesses and agencies, LOVE D8 will transform St Catherine’s Church into a bustling market-style community fair celebrating all that’s great about Dublin 8!

What’s planned:
Over 100 exhibitors showcasing their activities across a series of zones: HealthyD8, LearningD8, Clean&GreenD8, WorkingD8, CulturalD8 and CommunityD8

The public can explore all that The Liberties has to offer: get information on clubs and activities, learn about local schools and workplaces, discover how to get active and involved and much, much more

There will be local interest talks throughout the afternoon and special popup music performanceson the stage at lunchtime

Free entry (but strictly via ticket only)

The twentieth edition of Culture Night will take place on Friday 19 September 2025. Dublin City Council has officially announced the full programme for Culture Night Dublin 2025. The Griffith Avenue Mile is a one mile road race for runners of all levels young and old, which will see the closing off a stretch of Griffith Avenue in Dublin to traffic for several hours on the day. More than 40 years ago, a similar successful event was staged on Griffith Avenue, with leading Irish athletes such as Eamonn Coughlan, supporting and competing.
