Griffith Avenue, Sunday 22nd September

Griffith Avenue Mile is a one mile road race on Marino's Griffith Avenue. You can participate in the Family Fun Run or the Timed Run (open to all levels).

As a joint initiative, the All Hallows Area Association and Marino Athletics Club, in association with Athletics Ireland – proudly supported by Dublin City University, Dublin City Council – will be staging the Griffith Avenue Mile Road Race. It's a one mile road race for runners of all levels young and old, which will involve closing off a stretch of Griffith Avenue in Dublin to traffic for several hours on the day.

Some 30 years ago, a similar successful event was staged on Griffith Avenue – Dublin Straight Mile – with leading Irish athletes such as Eamonn Coughlan, supporting and competing. It had much support and was a high profile event. This time, the plan is to be even more inclusive by opening the race up to runners of all abilities and all ages. We have the support of Athletics Ireland, An Garda Síochána, and Dublin City Council.

WellFest

Royal Hospital Kilmainham

he very first WellFest took place in September 2015 in Herbert Park, Dublin. The festival was created by 4 founders; Helena and Katie Ryan, Fionnualla Cleary and Anthony Kelly. The founders loved music festivals… But they were also huge fans of health and wellness. So they decided to create a festival that had music festival vibes… But with fitness icons instead of music groups, and avocados in place of alcohol! The festival has grown every year since, and last year we had over 12,000 WellFesters in attendance. 2024 is looking to be our biggest and best year yet. There are tonnes of
