Whelan's, Saturday 21st September

Mic Christopher's 50th – Saturday 21st September, 2019, would have been Mic Christopher's 50th birthday. In his honour, friends, fans and admirers will stage a concert for him in his spiritual home of Whelan's. A vast array of talent will gather to sing Mic's amazing songs together. The line-up will feature a mixture of Mic's close friends and people he never met – all of whom will collaborate on his songs. With each passing year more people discover Mic's incredible songs and this concert celebrates that.

All proceeds from the event will fund Aidlink‘s local partner charities in Kenya and Uganda. The core focus of the work Aidlink funds is based on capacity building within society by empowering women, which begins with education, but also includes irrigation and sanitation. The welfare of children was a huge concern of Mic's, so it’s fitting that the funds will be used in this way.
