Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Happenings in association with this year's Culture Date with Dublin 8 are delighted to bring to you this exciting double bill of classic Irish movies, Dublin based, one very very Dublin 8 and our Saturday Night opening screening, the classic that is – Sing Street.

In inner-city south Dublin in 1985, Robert Lawlor struggles with his architecture practice and his marriage, and drinks and smokes to excess. At a family meeting, he announces he is taking his youngest son Conor out of his expensive school and moving him to a Christian Brothers school, Synge Street CBS in Dublin 8, which Robert asserts is of equally high repute. Conor's older brother Brendan ribs him about the change as well as about the state of the family unit. What follows is a feel good, coming of age musical to warm the heart. Perfection for a chilled evening with experimental beers and your mates.

We open at 8.30pm with screening on around 9.15pm, depending on light.
