Red Line Book Festival 2025 – A Celebration of Stories

This October, the Red Line Book Festival returns for its 14th year, bringing readers, writers, and storytellers together for a week-long celebration of books and ideas. With over 40 events across South Dublin, the festival offers something for everyone — from crime fiction and the supernatural to poetry, politics, illustration, and family fun.

Programme highlights include:

  • Internationally acclaimed guests Helen Fielding, Jo Baker, Paul Lynch, Xiaolu Guo, and Hector Ó hEochagáin.
  • The Dark Side strand exploring crime, mystery, and the supernatural with authors Gill Perdue, Amanda Cassidy, Sophie White, Ben Machell, Sarah Maria Griffin, and more.
  • The Red Line Poetry Competition, judged this year by Aifric Mac Aodha.
  • A featured night of poetry
  • Workshops and masterclasses for aspiring and established writers.
  • Family Fun Day in Parthalán Place, Tallaght on October 18th, packed with storytelling, music, and creative activities.
  • Local talent showcased through residencies, exhibitions, and interactive sessions.
  • The Red Line Book Festival is more than a series of events — it’s a community space where stories are shared, creativity thrives, and readers of all ages can discover something new.
