Irish Mythology Podcast

The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, Friday 30th October

The Irish Mythology Podcast hosted by Marcas Ó hUiscín and Stephanie Ní Thiarnaigh, presents a special live Halloween event exploring Samhain, the ancient Irish festival that marked the beginning of winter and the thinning of the boundary between this world and the Otherworld.

Drawing on mythology, folklore, archaeology, literature and oral tradition, the evening will take audiences on a journey through Ireland's supernatural heritage, examining the origins of Halloween and the enduring stories of spirits, fairy hosts, omens, the dead and the Otherworld.
