Katie Taylor returns home for one of the most significant nights of her remarkable career when she takes to the ring at Croke Park on Saturday, 5 September. In what's being billed as a historic homecoming and farewell bout, the Bray boxing icon will defend her world super-lightweight titles against unbeaten French challenger Flora Pili in front of a packed crowd at Croke Park.

Few Irish athletes have captured the imagination of the public quite like Katie. From her Olympic gold medal triumph in London 2012 to becoming a two-weight undisputed world champion, she has helped transform women’s boxing and inspired a generation of athletes both in Ireland and around the world.

The occasion carries extra significance as Taylor has long spoken of her dream to fight in Croke Park. More than 80,000 fans are expected to fill the famous stadium, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for a sporting event that promises to be one of the highlights of Dublin’s calendar. It will also mark the first professional boxing event at Croke Park since Muhammad Ali fought there in 1972.

Standing across the ring will be Flora Pili, an undefeated contender who arrives in Dublin determined to spoil the celebrations.
