Forgotten Peoples

Pepper Canister Church, Saturday 26th September

This September, Chamber Choir Ireland and Gabriel Crouch perform music about home and the search for and belonging.

Veljo Tormis'Forgotten Peoples is a collection of songs preserving the rich folklore of several vanishing cultures along the Gulf on Finland.

These delightful and varied folk songs include creation myths, wedding songs, and lullabies, as well as songs about the natural world around us: birds, animals, changing seasons, life and death in the country.

Woven throughout, selections from Michael Gordon'sAnonymous Man follow the composer's changing New York neighbourhood, from industrial warehouse district to residential area.

Emma O'Halloran'sgone draws on the words of people who have experienced homelessness in Ireland over the past decade, offering us fragments of real lived experiences through a collage of direct quotes.

Franciso del Pino's Index honours the story of the Irish diaspora in Argentina, and the thousands of Irish emigrants who arrived in the port of Buenos Aires in the 19th century.

Join Ireland's national chamber choir for an evening of music that is both joyful and poignant, quirky and heartfelt.

Sex Mask

The Grand Social

Vague pop instilled with the ancient genius of your own blood. Sex Mask holds the many trigger words your CIA handler doesn’t want you to know. We have several testimonials from fans attesting to semi-mystical experiences, some claim it to be Deja vu from a genetic memory long dormant and locked. Others speak of foreshadowed flashes of a past life they are yet to have lived. All of this, incited after only seconds of exposure to any of our available songs. is Sex Mask just another egregious attempt from delusional solipsists at being heard while saying close to nothing? Yes. But we
