Merrion Square, Sunday 29th September

Dublin City Council presents, The Homecoming, to celebrate the victories of the Dublin Men's and Dublin Ladies' Gaelic Football teams.

History has been made! The coveted ‘five-in-a-row' was finally claimed by the mighty Dublin Senior Men's Gaelic Football team followed by a ‘three-in-a-row victory' for the Dublin Ladies' Gaelic Football team. Dublin city is still in awe of these great sporting champions and it is with enormous pride that the Lord Mayor invites all Dublin fans to unite for The Homecoming in Merrion Square.

Live performances from Keywest and Eoin Thomas & The Rising Sons, followed by interviews with former Dublin football stars hosted by Marty Morrissey, a specially commissioned video of Dublin wins from 1891-2018, highlights from both the ladies' and the men's matches, and live on-stage the victorious, all-conquering Dublin teams and staff.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Paul McAuliffe said “The Homecoming will be full of colour and excitement and an opportunity for Dublin fans to reunite and relive sporting history with their heroes.”
